Our Story

Shoreline was birthed in the Pastors many years before its first service. Pastor Mike had a vision of planting churches in New England while he was attending Valley Forge Christian College.   In the early months of 2002, Pastor Mike & Meredith were praying about direction.

They believed that the Lord was leading them to plant a church on the Connecticut Shoreline.  For months they prayed and sought direction. In September of 2002, they began plans for the first service to be held in their home in Old Saybrook. In December of 2002, under very humble circumstances, they started services. At first it was just the two of them, but over the next few weeks, the Lord began to bring people by their side.

In January they began to look for a larger place to meet.  In March of 2003, Shoreline started meeting in the Old Saybrook Middle School Auditorium.  For three years, they met in the school, while saving for their own building.

In December of 2005, they contracted to lease a large area in the Old Saybrook Business Park.  After extensive renovations, in March of 2006 Shoreline moved to its current location.  In October of 2008, shoreline signed an agreement to purchase the Old Lyme Chapel on route 156 in Old Lyme.  The expected closing date is early summer 2010.
